As the most influential trade platform for yarn and fibre industry players in Asia, Yarn Expo Autumn is renowned for its comprehensive range of exhibitors. As such, the show keeps gaining in popularity, with the number of exhibitors increasing from 258 to more than 270 this year. To date, they come from 12 countries and regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, USA, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. To accommodate this rising number of exhibitors, the exhibition space is further increased by 35% to over 11,500 sqm, marking a new record for the show.
“The growth of this fair over the past two years has really been remarkable given the global economic situation over this time,” Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd commented. “From around 140 exhibitors in 2014 to more than 270 this year, and with the exhibition space more than doubling over this time, the fair is now well-established as the leading industry event in the region. Part of this growth is due to advancements in the fair’s offerings such as the new display zones this year, which provide further opportunities for both exhibitors and buyers in fast-growing product sectors.”
Specific display zones for domestic exhibitors in growing sectors
In response to the ever-changing market conditions and growing demand for innovative products, the fair has designated four display zones, namely Natural Cotton Zone, Colourful Chemical Fibre Zone, Fancy Yarn Zone and E-Commerce Zone for corresponding domestic exhibitors. The market is also attaching much importance to eco-friendly products in recent years, and as a result, the fair organisers are incorporating green elements into the display zones. To start with, the Natural Cotton Zone will be focusing on the theme of eco-friendly technology. As one of the key exhibitors of this zone with a major rotor and vortex spinning production base in China, Bazhou Jinfu Yarn Co. Ltd will present their specialty yarns and differentiated viscose yarn in the October fair.
There is also a new Eco-friendly Fibre Area within the Colourful Chemical Fibre Zone which highlights innovative fibres as well as eco-friendly low carbon fibres. Visitors will be able to find recycled polyester fibre from Zhejiang Jiaren New Materials Co. Ltd which boasts eco-friendly, comfortable and functional features thanks to a chemical circulation and regeneration production system.
In view of the positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors in the Spring Edition, the organisers have decided to include a Fancy Yarn Zone in October as well. Having previously exhibited in Yarn Expo Autumn and featuring in this zone in the coming edition, Shouguang Jiaxin Ecological Technology Co Ltd, a manufacturer of coloured spun slub yarn, coloured spun segment-colour yarn and coloured spun AB yarn, finds the show useful in providing an opportunity to meet worldwide customers, including European and Asian buyers, as well as to receive orders.
Yarn Expo Autumn 2016 will be held concurrently with another three textile trade events, namely Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, China International Fashion Fair (CHIC) and PH Value. This brings the apparel fabrics and accessories, knitted garments and fashion garments industries under one roof, giving buyers and exhibitors a unique opportunity to leverage from this unique business platform. Yarn Expo Autumn will showcase a wide spectrum of natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool, flax / regenerated flax, and man-made fibres and yarns as well as specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.
