According to the latest data shared by the Ministry of Commerce, towels, which have been at the top of Turkish home textile sector exports in recent years, are becoming the cornerstone of the trade bridge between the USA and Türkiye under the leadership of successful entrepreneurs. With the American Soft Linen brand, co-founded by a Turkish entrepreneur, 10 million towels produced in Türkiye meet with American consumers yearly. Entrepreneur Reşit Akçam, who moved to the USA in 2013 after being accepted to a master’s degree programme in computer science, has become a reliable supplier of giant brands by delivering quality of Turkish cotton to the US market since 2016, as well as the towels produced in Türkiye with American Soft Linen, established in the West Haven city.
