Zorluteks General Manager Cemil Çiçek made statements about the company’s views on environment and sustainability. Saying that they have the ability of performing business anywhere in the world; with 60 years of experience in the sector, Çiçek stressed that they don’t only focus on financial success. Çiçek stated that Zorluteks played a leading role in the sector in areas related to developing current eco-friendly manufacturing technologies, energy efficiency and saving, recycling projects, supply, manufacturing, distribution, use time, delivery and waste disposal. Indicating that they manufacture in Turkey’s first ecological favoured facility, Çiçek explained that they provide enough number of trees to the nature to neutralise the amount of emission. Çiçek said that they have planted 120 thousand trees since 2010.

Zorluteks reuses solid wastes with recycling processes

Mentioning that they use water in more than one processes thanks to recycling facility they formed, Çiçek continued thusly; “Thanks to that, while the world average of 1kg cotton fabric manufacturing is 120 lt water, as Zorluteks we produce 1 kg cotton fabric with average 80 lt water. We reuse  90% of our solid wastes with recycling processes. We provide recycling of average 11 ton black ink every year by bringing waste inks in various colours together. On our project of waste oil collecting, we recycled 1.140 lt of waste oil with our employees.

In the scope of Eco-Friendly Bag project, we reduced the use of plastic bags by manufacturing 36 thousand cloth bags. Thanks to digital printing machines we save 3.700 KW electric every year. Also we provide certified organic products to our customers. Especially our bedlinens are manufactured with herbal fiber.We save energy with our long-lasting, stainproof and easy to iron products.”
