The new European initiative RegioGreenTex will support SMEs in transforming textile waste into value through a three-year project. Smartex, which has acquired the Turkish startup Tuvis, will expand its zero-waste future efforts with the new technology centre to be located in Maslak. ‘Sea lettuce’, which causes odour and pollution in the Gulf of Izmir, will offer a biodegradable option to plastic packaging.
