Textilegence Magazine opens the year 2025 with a special file. We talked about the past and present of German textile technologies, which have gained an important place on the stage of history since the first years of industrialisation, with the leading manufacturers of the sector. We listened to the details of the success of German technology behind the yarns, fabrics and clothes produced in all over the world from the experts themselves. The brands such as Saurer, Monforts, Trützschler, Brückner and Mayer & Cie, each competent in their field, also told Textilegence about their evaluations for 2024 and their 2025 targets.

Textilegence begins the year at full with its new issue

Besides, the latest news about the textile, printing and fashion industry from both Türkiye and the world are also in our new issue as always: In the first month of the year, EU countries maintained their leading position in Turkish textile exports, while the figures in Africa and Asia showed a significant increase. Pakistan drew attention with an increase of up to 200 percent. Exports of leather and leather products decreased by 18 percent in 2024. As a new process begins in Syria with the collapse of the 61-year Baath regime, the Turkish textile and retail sector announced that it aims to contribute to employment and production in the country.

Durak Tekstil, which determines its customer-oriented approach as its basic marketing strategy, held the last of its traditional customer meetings in Denizli. swissQprint, the leading manufacturer of UV printing represented by Pigment Reklam in the Turkish market, launched Generation 5 Series UV flatbed printers with a completely redesigned platform. Asteks, increasing its export target in 2025, will show that it offers the best products and service in 6 international textile fairs. Borophene mattress fabric is coming to the world stage from Türkiye. All details are in our January February 2025 issue.

New developments and regulations in the sector give hope for a sustainable future

Promising news continues to come from the sector within the scope of environmental sustainability: The ‘Regulation on the Management of Industrial Emissions’, prepared by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change in order to encourage clean and environmentally friendly production in industry, was published in the Official Gazette. Uşak has become a role model for Türkiye in textile recycling, with a share of 75 percent. The scientists developed one solution to two environmental issues; the sorbents obtained by denim wastes can be a remedy to the heavy metal pollution in water. All and more is in the new issue of Textilegence. We wish you all a good year and enjoyable reading! You can find our issues here.
