The 16th International Latest Developments on Textile Technology and Chemicals Symposium was held in Bursa Academics Chambers Union between the dates of 4-6 May. Organized by both TMMOB Chemistry Engineers  and Textile Engineers Chamber, the symposium’s main theme was defined as ‘The Future of Textile Sector in Turkey’.

71 declarations in Bursa

Total 71 declarations were announced in the symposium; 11 of which was from private companies, 1 from R&D, 1 from invited academical declaration from Aachen University and 58 from academical declarations. On the panel themed ‘Technical Textile Manufacturing and Economy in Turkey’; the ideas of academicians making studies on that subject and managers of the manufacturing companies were stated. In the panel themed ‘Textile Politics in Our Country’; three politics from different parties revealed their opinions about textile politics from past to current day.

Four machinery manufacturers attending to the event in the name of TEMSAD; which is the roof organization of companies manufacturing textile machineries and accessories in Turkey; made market evaluation and compared the textile machinery production and world textile machine production. In the panel titled ‘Textile Will Go On… But At What Cost?’, academicians, machinery manufacturers and textilers evaluated the future of the sector.

This evaluation was underlined in the event; the increase of competition force in accordance with ‘innovative manufacturing, consistent and realistic growth goal’ , the development on R&D, M&D, patent and high technology, rising local added value in manufacturing, starting the production of high technology products enabling sustainable manufacturing  in order sector to achieve.
