Ready-to-wear industry shows its potential in Izmir

Fairs will add value to the ready-to-wear industry by gaining an international identity in the future

İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı said that they continue to work within the framework of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer’s vision of making İzmir a city of fairs, and stated that both fairs were very productive. Expressing that the ready-to-wear and garment industry, which broke export records in the first 9 months of this year and generated a total of 16.17 billion dollars in exports throughout Türkiye, showed great interest in the fairs, Alıcı stated that the Fashion Prime and Fashion Tech have grown by 100 percent this year compared to last year, and have been held in an area of 50 thousand square meters with the participation of 430 brands.

İZGİ Fairs Founding Partner Mustafa Kemal Hızarcıoğlu expressed that they are very happy to organize the fair with the partnership of İZFAŞ in İzmir, the capital of textile, in a concept that has been missed for years and said: “Fashion Tech and Fashion Prime provided maximum benefit to exhibitors and visitors by complementing each other. In addition, our fairs, attracting great interest from ready-to-wear and garment investors from abroad, will gain the identity of an international fair in the coming years and will bring İzmir and our country one of the largest fairs of the sector in the world. Fairs have been a hope to unite the domestically spread sector under one roof.”
