Attending FESPA Eurasia 2018 with Plamac UV printing models newly introduced to the Turkish market, Pigment Reklam saw intense interest throughout the fair. The fair, which was held between 6-9 December at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM), presented the most appropriate solutions to the demands of the print manufacturers and signage manufacturers who did not want to wait any longer for the investment. Evaluating their participation in the fair, Pigment Reklam Company Owner Serkan Çağlıyan underlined Plamac UV printing solutions met with the market for the second time at FESPA Eurasia after the Sign Istanbul 2018, following their Turkish market launch in the middle of this summer. Çağlıyan said; “The fair in September was in a period when fluctuations in exchange rates were harshly felt and the situation in the market was not clearly visible. This led investors to postpone their investments and switch to a wait-and-see tactic. At the FESPA Eurasia in December, we saw that investors’ confidence came back. We made successful sales negotiations with print manufacturers who didn’t want to wait any longer for the investment.”
Pointing out to Plamac being quickly adapted by the Turkish market despite its recent entry, Çağlıyan noted that it has much lower investment cost compared to similar products, whereas its productivity is equivalent or even higher. 3 models in Plamac UV printing portfolio have received more attention than expected
Pigment Reklam exhibited three new machines at FESPA Eurasia 2018; Pegasus 3200UV, Morpho 2531UV and Starfire LJ 320SG. These solutions, which provide different printing speeds and qualities in the roll to roll, flatbed and eco solvent area, have compact structures, user-friendly features and efficiency, as well as basic features and optional functions preferred by printing investors.
Pegasus 3200 LED UV roll to roll printer was able to attract the attention of the visitors; with its work power and compact design. Using eco-friendly LED UV inks; the machines quickly dry the print in seconds with their UV lamps; and they have equipment and accessories that makes the printing process smooth. With 4, 6 or 8 Ricoh GEN 5 industrial print heads; this machine can reach a production speed up to 80m2 per hour.
Pegasus 3200UV is able to work with flexible media types with a roll diameter of 40cm; and can print on vinyl, PET film, blockout, backlight and synthetic materials. Piezo electric inkjet and Grayscale technology are among some of the important features of this printer such as; 720p and 1200dpi resolution, working with LED UV ink types, Aurelon, Caldera and optional Onyx RIP software; 2.5 litre ink cartridge size, standard CMYK, Lc, Lm, optional white and vanish configurations.
The Morpho 2513 UV flatbed digital printer guarantees high quality prints on hard media surfaces. This model developed by Plamac with 15 years of research and experience in the field; offers users easy and reliable printing process. Morpho can print on hard media such as; acrylic, wood, glass, ceramics, metal, leather, PVC, industrial film; between 0 and 10cm thickness and 2500X1300m size. The Morpho 2513 is available with 4, 6 and 9 Ricoh GEN5 print heads; and can reach up to 65m2 production speed per hour. The ink configuration of the machine with the print head auto-capping system, automatic height adjustment and individual colour channel for the purging of the printer is; standard CMYK, LM, White and optional vanish. Morpho 2513 uses the Aurelon, Caldera and optionally Onyx as an RIP software.
Innovations in eco-solvent with Starfire LJ 320SG
The latest solution in the Pigment Reklam booth; the Starfire LJ 320SG roll to roll eco solvent digital printer has proved its strength during the fair with its printing performance. This new generation printer with a width of 3.2m responds to industrial production demands. Equipped with 2 and 4 Dimatrix Starfire print heads, this model has a production speed of 360m2 per hour.
The Starfire LJ 3200SG with industrial feeding and picking system can support up to 100kg of flexible media up to 330cm with a roll diameter of 35cm. The 600dpi and 800dpi print resolution provide the quality demanded by the industrial advertising business at the most cost-effective way. The standalone ink cleaning system is maintenance-friendly and eliminates ink wastage. Redijet technology is another outstanding feature; which includes quick start-up, long standby times and ink recycling through the nozzle; for reliable operation.
