At the Techtextil 2017, Frankfurt, TEXTECHNO Herbert Stein GmbH & Co. KG, the experts for quality control systems, will show its latest testing instruments for industrial fibres, yarns, and fabrics.
TEXTECHNO demonstrates the FAVIMAT+ AUOTFEED, a fully automatic single-fibre testing system, which determines the following fibre properties in a single instrument: linear density, tensile properties, mechanical crimp properties (crimp percent, removal force and stability), geometrical crimp structure, fibre-to-metal friction and bending stiffness. The sample feed unit AUTOFEED reduces labour for preparation of the test specimen and introduction into the test field to literally zero.
For the first time at Techtextil TEXTECHNO shows the new FIMATEST system, that measures the fibre-matrix adhesion by means of a single-fibre pull-out. The system consists of the FIMABOND embedding station and a clamping and alignment accessory to the FAVIMAT+. FIMATEST has won last year’s JEC World Innovation Awards.
A further highlight is the automatic drapability tester DRAPETEST. This instrument allows to automatically characterize drapability of fabrics and NCF’s; as well as the formation of defects during draping and forming. The tester combines the measurement of the force required for forming with an analysis of small-scale defects such as gaps and curls by means of image processing. An optional sensor records large-scale defects such as wrinkles.
