Mimaki launches the next generation Plus series. Mimaki, a leading manufacturer of large-format inkjet printers and cutting systems, responds to the printing industry’s demands for cost-effective and sustainable solutions. In October 2019, Mimaki Engineering will introduce the next generation of large-format printing and cutting solutions, the Plus Series, which are of great interest to the printing industry. Equipped with environmentally friendly solvent inks for the signage market, the series models are as follows; CJV300 Plus integrated solvent printer/cutter, JV300 Plus solvent printer and CG-FXII Plus cutting plotter.
The Mimaki Plus Series meets the ever-increasing demands of high print quality, low production costs and sustainability in the printing industry. The new models are not only geared towards end product quality, but also innovations to optimize the workflow throughout the process. This means a complete environmentally friendly and affordable solution for print service providers.
CJV products, which are well known in the print/cut, reduce the production costs of the users with the new Plus series while increasing their quality expectations. Addressing applications such as labels, posters, outdoor signs, backlit signs and fashion/clothing, the CJV300-160 Plus offers a maximum print/cut width of 1610mm.
The JV300 Plus series provides lower labour costs, higher productivity and higher image quality with ECO features making green production possible. The JV300-160 Plus is capable of working with solvent and sublimation dyes for outdoor and indoor applications with a maximum printing width of 1,610 mm.
Mimaki launches the next generation Plus series: Mimaki Core Technologies add power to the Plus Series
The solvent print/cut CJV300 Plus and the solvent printer JV300 Plus, which will meet the printing industry in October 2019, are equipped with the famous Mimaki Core Technologies. MAPS4, the latest version of the Mimaki Advanced Pass System, uses a unique algorithm to calculate the most effective way of jetting ink drops to avoid visible banding. The algorithm changes according to the ink colour, coverage and print speed and offers the most effective solution. Reliable productivity is assured with Mimaki’s other core technologies: the NCU (Nozzle Check Unit) and NRS (Nozzle Recovery System).
Mimaki has further developed the existing Take-Up winding device for the Plus Series. This device enables the handling of rolls up to 45kg; preventing media shifting and ensuring a smoother, more efficient production process.
Another innovation of the Plus Series is the ability to easily connect to any printer from any PC in the network; with Ethernet connectivity support.
Mimaki launches the next generation Plus series: new technology for continuous cutting without human intervention; ID Cut
The Mimaki Plus Series printers also feature a proprietary ID Cut function for labour savings and job efficiency. The CJV300 Plus integrated solvent printer/cutter and CG-FXII Plus cutting plotter in the Plus Series are available with ID Cut function. The JV300 Plus solvent printer can optionally be used with the CG-FXII Plus cutting plotter to take full advantage of this new functionality.
The ID Cut function consists of printing ID barcodes in the layout of print and cut jobs; through Mimaki’s RasterLink6 Plus RIP; with the code including cutting and rotation information. By reading each unique barcode; the crop mark sensor automatically loads and executes cutting; ensuring that all alignment and rotational requirements are observed. This new ID Cut functionality has been developed to enable continuous cutting operations automatically with minimal human intervention.
CG-FXII Plus is the world standard in multi cutting
Mimaki’s CG-FXII Plus cutting plotter in the Plus Series comes in three models with significant improvements; CG-75FXII Plus, CG-130FXII Plus and CG-160FXII Plus. The ID Cut function; which increases productivity while saving labour and time in the cutting process; stands out as the most striking innovation.
With a cutting speed of 100 cm per second; the cutting pressure of the CG-FXII Plus series is increased from 400 grams to 500 grams. By cutting a layer, it is able to produce cutting characters. Seals, stickers, and labels printed by inkjet printers can also be formed by cutting along the edges of the graphics.
Mimaki is developing environmentally friendly products with Green Technology concept
As part of the ‘Mimaki Green Technology’ concept, Mimaki made changes to their ink cartridge structures. The cartridge system of BS4 which has been favoured by the Turkish market for a long time; began to be used for SS21 inks in the Plus series. In this cartridge system, the outer box of the cartridge is no longer disposed of after each use; and is used for a long time. The use of plastic material is reduced considerably, simply by replacing the package inside the cartridge when the ink finishes. This reinforces the environmental characteristics of Mimaki inks.
Another important feature of Mimaki inks is their Greenguard Gold Certificate. This certificate certifies the high quality of Mimaki inks and meets the requirements for human health and the environment.
