With expertise in synthetic filaments (PES, PA, UHMWPE, etc.), natural and artificial fibres (cotton, Tencel™, etc.), technical fibres (aramid, glass fibres, etc.), metallic wires and coating polymers, the company combines the properties of silicone and multifilament in Silicotex® anti-slip yarn based on innovative patented technology. In this way, Silicotex® is used directly in the main textile production process (knitting, weaving or braiding) and eliminates the need for any post processes.
Two different Silicotex yarns for various applications
The fabric can maintain its flexible, breathable and conformable properties with Silicotex®, which provides an anti-slip effect localized in the needed area in textile applications. The product is used by customers in various medical products such as compression devices, orthosis and bandages. While these yarns create a real anti-slip effect, it can be wash and at the same time, they do not lose their properties after washing.
Expanding its Silicotex® product range with two more yarns, Massebeuf Textiles makes it possible to use anti-slip yarns for other products such as garments, socks and gloves as well as medical products. One of them, A-Silicotex® consists of a combination of Silicotex® with other yarns to reduce grip property, while C-Silicotex® was introduced to the market as an elastic version integrating both anti-slip and elasticity.
