Korteks Innovative Yarns at EVTEKS – Attending Evteks, Korteks exhibited their innovative polyester yarns and fabric samples woven with these yarns. In addition to these products, the certified DRY TOUCH® fabric brand was also presented to visitors.
Korteks, Europe’s largest integrated manufacturer and exporter of polyester yarn, exhibited their products at the 24th EVTEKS home textiles exhibition, held at the CNR Expo between April 24-28. Being a part of the Zorlu Group, the cutting edge yarns and fabric samples produced from these yarns exhibited by Korteks attracted great attention during the exhibition.
In their production area of 335 thousand square meters, Korteks is manufacturing 200 thousand tons of yarn per year and is carrying out a large part of Turkey’s polyester yarn production alone. The company is moving in line with the principle of ‘sustainable innovation’ both in terms of product quality and production infrastructure. Developing innovative, functional and value-added yarns at their R&D center, Korteks unveiled many of their innovative products at EVTEKS.
TAÇ UV Resistant polyester yarns, developed for outdoor fabrics such as awnings, tarpaulins and garden furniture, have also been exhibited at the event. Korteks offers a solution to the color defects that are frequently encountered in polyester fabrics exposed to sunlight, especially in outdoor textiles. The technology developed by the company also prolongs the usage life of the yarn in the outdoors, slowing the decline in strength and discoloration.
Superior performance with certified DRY TOUCH® fabric brand
DRY TOUCH®, Zorlu Holding’s certified performance fabric brand; another product on display in the exhibition; allows the air to flow from the outside; and the wicking the moisture easily. With these fabrics; sportswear, underwear, denim clothing, work clothes and ready-to-wear are provided with a visible ease of use. The tests show that DRY TOUCH® fabrics are observed to absorb moisture 10 times faster than cotton.
In addition to these products, Korteks’ yarns; which offer innovative solutions to automotive fabric projects; are used by domestic and foreign fabric manufacturers in the projects of the biggest automobile brands of the world.
Korteks innovative nature protecting manufacturing
Korteks develops and manufactures innovative products within a sustainable production concept. The company adds additional features such as colour and non-flammability to the yarns during production; so as to prevent losses and reduce negative effects on the environment when possible; in 95% of the yarns produced by the company. Yarns coloured during production are much more environmentally responsible; than the ones dyed with yarn dyes or fabric dyes. Water and energy consumption are thus zeroed as there is no need for dyeing operations after fabric production.
