Konica Minolta, one of the leading brands in digital textile printing, welcomed both Turkish and global visitors and customers at ITM 2024. In addition to the flagship Nassenger system offering high-performance printing,  the new water-based pigment inks having sustainable advantages were the focus at the company’s booth.

“The expectations for this edition were very high; unfortunately, the number of visitors did not match our initial idea. We have most visitors from Türkiye, but both Turkish and international customers (Pakistan, Uzbekistan, India, Greece, etc) did not show a willingness to undertake big investments within the near future,” Gianluca Macchi, Konica Minolta Director of Sales IJ Textile, said. He noted that their existing customer Turkay Textil, though, invested in one new Nassenger 10e, at the exhibition; “The machine will be equipped with 81 printheads, 9 colours lines and will be loaded with Reactive.” Disclosing that they have over 300 units all over the world; “The unique competitive advantage of our system is given by our printheads. Konica Minolta is the only supplier in the world able to provide machines, printheads, ink and software from a unique source for the single pass technology,” he said.

The new in-line pre-treatment inks by Konica Minolta – Gentili Mosconi’s partnership were also presented during the exhibition. “With our in-line pre-treatment inks the customer will be able to shorten his preparation process and therefore become more sustainable towards the environment,” he noted. This innovation provides the manufacturers with energy savings, reducing water consumption and optimised wastewater disposal.

Konica Minolta will be launching a new service in Türkiye

Gianluca Macchi also mentioned their after-sales service in Türkiye; “We have our local 5 engineers always available 24/7 on the field; in addition, we are now developing our local stock for spare parts and inks. Very soon we will be launching this new service,” he said. Macchi also announced that they are working to develop several new solutions (both mechanical and technological) in order to help their new and existing customers to always maximise their production capacity.

Stating that they are happy to contribute to the digital development of the Turkish textile printing industry, he added that Konica Minolta will always stand by its customers to make the industry more profitable and advantageous.
