Half-day seminars to cover relevant megatrends, and how nonwovens help meet these challenges. EDANA, the leading global association serving the nonwovens and related industries, announces an innovative addition to INDEX, the global exhibition showcasing the nonwovens and related industries in Geneva from 4th to 7th April 2017.
In 2017 EDANA and the PALEXPO teams are bringing a new experience to exhibition visitors and exhibitors alike. Focusing on transportation, healthcare, geotextiles and filtration, each session will be launched with a leading speaker to take a step beyond our industry and look at the global forces driving each area. From water scarcity to ageing populations, from the rise of autonomous vehicles to the demand for more sustainable and cost-effective infrastructures, “Big Picture” speakers will address the global megatrends affecting, and influencing each of the applications areas.
Following each speaker, the transportation, healthcare and geotextiles session will then offer 3-4 speakers; who will address the key challenges being met by nonwovens; and how through interconnections; the nonwovens and related industries are providing answers to the world’s biggest and most important questions; how do we, as a society, continue both to care and function effectively.
INDEX FILTREX™ event
While attendees interested in filtration will also have free access to the “Big Picture” speaker; and the table-top exhibition at the FILTREX™ event; additional information, education, and networking will also be made available through the FILTREX™ conference; to be held on-site at INDEX for the first time.
“This innovative way of offering INDEX participants the opportunity to hear expert speakers; deliver key learnings on the challenges within their nonwoven sector of choice; is intended to add even more value to their experience in visiting; what can already be announced as the largest ever nonwovens exhibition in the world. We hope that the compact format of the sector seminars will help attendees combine these with their busy schedule of business meetings and stand visits”, said Pierre Wiertz, General Manager of EDANA.
