Filo exhibition, where high-quality yarn and yarn collections are exhibited, returned to Milano Unica, the Italian textile fair held from 10 to 12 July 2018 at Rho Fiera Milano. The presenced of Filo in Milano Unica makes the continuity between the different steps in the textile supply chain explicit, and it aims at strengthening and enhancing the uniqueness of the Italian textile-clothing system.
Paolo Monfermoso, General Manager of Filo, stated; “In February the presence of Filo at Milano Unica arose great interest among professionals. That is why we have confirmed with great enthusiasm the renewed invitation to take part in the Trend Village for July’s edition too. With Milano Unica, we have been building a great collaboration based on some shared principles; the very high quality contents that both fairs propose, the importance of the supply chain and products and processes’ sustainability, just to mention the most important ones. The Italian textile-clothing industry – unique because it maintains an Italian production in all its steps, from upstream to downstream – is a heritage to be preserved, and it is an added value that has allowed the Italian fashion system to conquer the markets of the world.”
Filo is a starting point
Monfermoso continued his words as follows; “Filo is the ‘starting point’ through the proposal of excellent yarns for weaving in the top of the range; it’s our strong point since the first edition and continues to be now that in September; we cut the finish line of our 50th edition. The presence of Filo in Milano Unica has the very meaning of reinforcing the synergies in the communication area between; the two fairs so as to present the excellence of the Italian supply chain to buyers from all over the world showing Made in Italy textile proposals resulting; from a continuous research and innovation, both in materials and style.”
The exhibition is presented at Milano Unica with a setting of great impact in the Trend Village. Filo’s installation at Milano Unica proposes the video ‘Tastes on sale’; with the weaving yarns trend themes developed for the February 2018 edition of Filo; in line with both time and theme of the proposals launched by the Italian textile and accessory exhibition; – fabrics and accessories’ collections for Fall-Winter 2019-2020. A broad summary of weaving yarns exhibited during the 49th Filo edition is also highlighted; compared to February’s edition, the novelty is that it is possible to trace the manufacturers.
The 50th edition of the fair will held on 26 and 27 September 2018; at the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan.
