Meeting Asian market at ITMA ASIA+CITME fair, Erhardt + Leimer presented its stitch sensor and camera systems as well as cutting solutions.

Serving the sector with its speciality on web guiding and control systems, Erhardt+Leimer (EL) got together with Chinese market at ITMA ASIA+CITME 2016. Exhibiting its latest innovations at ITMA ASIA+CITME which was held in National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shangai between the dates of 21-25 October, the company received great attention from the visitors. Meeting visistors particularly from China as well as Korea, Taiwan, Pakistan, Indonesia and New Zealand, the company had a satisfying fair with successful launches.

The company exhibited its fabric straightener systems for textiles ELSTRAIGHT, control systems ELMAT, stitch counting system ELCOUNT, tenter infeed systems for textiles ELFEED, web cutting systems ELCUT, web guiding and spreading systems for textiles ELSMART as well as stitch sensor system FE 5204.

Yarn Innovation Comes to Asian Market with EL

Introduced to the market by EL this year, stitch sensor FE 5204 adapts the design of the stitch. Erhardt+Leimer Sales Divison Manager Klaus Baumann states the advantages of this sensor as such;

“There used to be no yarn is given to the needle in stitch so, that created a gap. Now usually two stitches are used and the customer wants to cut in between these stitches. We have a variety of different stitches and conventional sensors  have difficulties in detect every stitch.”

Saying that with the new sensor they gave customers the opportunity of adapting the sensor, Baumann emphasized this capacity’s importance in the market. Indicating that operator needs to have background to play part in the process, Baumann explained they also provide support to their customers in that matter.

Remarking that the stitch sensor brought to Chinese market for the first time at ITMA ASIA+CITME, had its first installation in Turkey-Çorlu, Baumann also added that it is tested in Indonesia and China before going to the market. Baumann summarized  this  process as such; “We performed almost ten installations in Indonesia and China. We chose these areas because of  high temperature, high humidity and less strained operator  use. If a product works there, it can work anywhere.”

Giving place to its cutting solution ELCUT in its booth as well, Erhardt+Leimer provides saving and advantages to its customers with this practical and versatile system. “Our customers receive  their investment’s worth with this system. One customer told us that they earned 11 thousand£ back after 20 working hours. Recalculating this for 12 months, it means a very effective investment for the customers.” Baumann stated.

Global Service with 18 Factories Worldwide

Highlighting the fact that Erhardt+Leimer is a German-based European brand, Klaus Baumann stated they serve patented solutions to global market for 97 years. Explaining that the company focused on quality competition rather than price competition, Baumann expressed the company reached global market with its 18 subsidiaries worldwide. Baumann also talked about their activites on Chinese market; “We serve Chinese manufacturers with our factory  in China, Guangzhou with 150 staff and 5 service centers. There  are some  providers in the market that copy existing technologies and sell with cheaper prices. However, Chinese manufacturers are interested in our key technologies just like European manufacturers and they prefer to invest more on our products instead of investing less on a copied one. Our powerful after-sales service in Chinese market support our reliable image in the market.”

Expressing their views on Turkish market as well, Klaus Baumann remarked that they made effective and positive collaborations with Turkish firms. Indicating that Turkish textile sector continues to grow and invest, Baumann also underlined the machinery sector’s development. In that matter, Baumann added one of their customers and a member of VDMA, HAS GROUP’s important improvements in his words.
