One of the most important event for converting of flexible(web-based materials) such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens, ICE Europe will open its doors in Munich between the dates of 21-23 March on its 10th edition. Meeting the sector at ICE Europe, Erhardt+Leimer (E+L) will exhibit its two new products. The firm will present PA 62 web tension amplifier and AG 9 actuating drive.
The two-channel measuring amplifier, PA 62 offers a practical solution by connecting any load cells and Ethernet interface. The product’s LCD display that can show not only the sum signal but also the web tension on the left and right hand side of the web separately, draws attention with its button-free feature. The buttons are displayed when required. This amplifier shows the actual web tension as well as trend curve and alerts the operator if limits are exceeded.
Another innovation by Erhardt+Leimer : AG 9
Another innovation will be presented at the fair; AG 9 attracts attention with being the first actuating drive developed fully by E+L. Primarily designed for web guiding systems; AG 9 is stated to be used in all applications that require a maintenance-free; highly dynamic linear drive with a large actuating force. Announced to be the only fully integrated actuating drive in the market; AG 9 hinders motor wearing with its brushless system. Also, acquiring position via an integrated absolute encoder; AG 9 proves its uniqueness in the market with this feature as well. Thanks to that, no reference run is required on commissioning; and the current position of the actuating drive isn’t lost even if the power fails. Including an integrated controller, AG 9 offers time-saving and simplicity to the user.
Having a direct drive without gearbox, AG 9 minimizes the play in the axial direction. Being very compact, this device can be mounted even in tight spaces. Having an actuating speed of 60mm/s; the product reaches maximum actuating dynamics with Ethernet networking with response times of 1 ms. Presenting the most practical and efficient solution to the users; AG 9 makes possible to reach control frequencies up to 4 Hz; even at high reel weight that allows optimal compensation of tumbling errors.
