Epson, one of the leading brands of printing technologies, has launched the first entry-level DTG (Direct to Garment) printer with white ink that can print on dark and light coloured fabrics. Complementing Epson’s series of hybrid DTG and DTF (Direct to Film) printers, the SC-F1000 will be the solution for retailers and small businesses looking for a cost-effective alternative with its flexibility to print on both light and dark coloured fabrics.
Direct in-store printing with Epson SC-F1000
Combined with Epson’s PrecisionCore Micro TFP print head technology and NVT (Nozzle Verification Technology), the SC-F1000 is the only printer capable of printing on dark garments and direct to film. Using Epson’s UltraChrome DG2 inks, the printer is able to highlight the richness in graphic designs with a vibrant colour profile, with image quality further enhanced. Capable of both DTG and DTF, the SC-F1000 offers customers the flexibility to print on products such as T-shirts, bags, sweatshirts and pillows, making it ideal for real-time in-store printing.
With a highly compact design ideal for retail, the SC-F1000 can be installed in smaller workspaces and easily placed next to a wall. The easy-to-use SC-F1000 offers a range of features that ensure intuitive, accurate and high quality printing. For example, a large opening flap simplifies placing fabric or film on the platen, while platen sensors can detect irregular settings to prevent printing errors. The product also features automatic gap adjustment, determining the optimum print height without manual intervention. The SC-F1000 can be operated via a simple and intuitive touch screen.
Auto-cleaning feature
Offering USB or Wi-Fi connectivity options, the SC-F1000 has a range of features that minimise user maintenance and increase overall productivity, such as auto-cleaning and UltraChrome DG2 ink pouches that can be quickly and simply replaced. The flexibility and productivity of the SC-F1000 is further enhanced by Epson’s GarmentCreator2 software, featuring quick and easy printing pre-sets for DTG and DTF.
Epson Europe Product Management, Commercial and Industrial Manager Chris Davies stated that the demand for entry-level DTFilm has increased significantly over the last three years, disclosing; “This exciting development from Epson offers hobbyists and small businesses an extremely affordable option that delivers outstanding quality, and a range of advanced productivity-boosting features.”
