Silicon Valley-based Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI) introduced the new EFI Reggiani HYPER digital textile printer at the TME Exhibition Textile Machinery Fair at Istanbul Expo Center on 8-11 September. EFI Reggiani HYPER is the fastest textile scanning printer in the market by printing up to 13 linear metres per minute in two-pass production mode, and also provides high print quality. Produced for high-quality production in knitted or woven fabrics, the new printer can also be integrated into Industry 4.0 projects with smart technologies in its design. The new printer will be available as of September.

EFI Reggiani HYPER is available in three different widths
The new EFI Reggiani HYPER targets the industrial high-speed segment of the multi-pass textile printing industry. Available in widths of 1.8 metres, 2.4 metres, or 3.4 metres, it can print two passes with production quality at speeds up to 13 metres per minute for a 1.5-metre-wide roll, or up to 10 metres per minute for a 3-metre-wide roll. On a 3.4 meter Reggiani HYPER printer, users can print a pair of 1.5-metre-wide rolls in parallel, delivering a total throughput of up to 20 metres per minute.
HYPER with up to eight colour configurations supports by EFI Reggiani genuine inks. Formulated to provide the best performance in terms of runnability and longer printhead life, the inks provide high-quality colour depth, brightness and fastness.
Belt movement control for high-speed printing
EFI Reggiani HYPER offers longitudinal belt movement control for extreme belt precision during high-speed printing. There is also a precision Kevlar® conveyor belt with an embedded magnetic device for adhesive application.
Recirculation up to the nozzle plate and an innovative printhead maintenance system with contactless wiping ensures that printheads are ready for printing. EFI Reggiani proprietary electronics and software enables real-time image processing and no image pre-calculation time prior to printing. Users gain greater capability and versatility by eliminating the limits faced with printing solid colours, geometric patterns, fine lines, deep blacks, soft gradients and more, while meeting their needs for speed with different printing modes.
