With years of experience and expertise in digital printing, EFI is demonstrating their competence with the solutions they have developed and presented, including new hybrid inkjet platform. The EFI booth transformed into a mini factory with a digital printing ecosystem at FESPA 2018 Berlin.
Introducing the digital printing industry with innovations, EFI succeeded in being the focus point with the new generation hybrid inkjet platform and the greener pigment process in textile printing at FESPA 2018 Berlin. The company unveiled its power with digital printing ecosystem, and presented cost reducing, quality and efficiency providing solutions especially for the textile industry at their booth B30 in Hall 2.2.
Intensive interest in hybrid inkjet platform
The EFI VUTEk® h series printers shown at the exhibition were built from the ground up to offer higher quality, more capabilities and better productivity up to 109 boards per hour. EFI’s exhibit also features the launch of a breakthrough industrial textile pigment ink technology for direct-to-textile production. The new EFI Reggiani pigment ink technology gives users a faster, environmentally friendly production process with inline polymerisation that requires less water, less energy and less processing time, with no washing or steaming needed. The new pigment textile technology completes the outstanding range of innovations EFI Reggiani has presented over the past year, with unparalleled new products including the FLEXY digital printer launched at last year’s FESPA tradeshow and the brand-new EFI Reggiani COLORS printer launched last month.
Other new innovations at the tradeshow include the EFI VUTEk FabriVU® 340i, an aqueous soft signage printer. It combines superior-quality imaging with efficient, in-line fixation for fast, all-in-one fabric soft signage production. FESPA attendees can also witness the next generation in digital print job management with version 7 of EFI’s Fiery® wide- and superwide-format production digital front ends (DFEs) and updated Fiery Command WorkStation® software.
Satisfied with visitor interest in FESPA 2018
EFI Reggiani Vice President and General Manager Adele Genoni announced that they are pleased with the FESPA 2018 Berlin. Genoni pointed out that they have received a lot of attention from the visitors throughout the exhibition, especially the pigment solutions attracted great interest. Genoni had the following comments; “We were expecting to have the market interest in this solution. This solution has long been requested from us. In addition to its technical superiority, it is highly competitive in terms of price. FESPA 2018 pleased us in a business sense. Although FESPA generally is focused on the European market, visitors from markets such as Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Bangladesh and Pakistan have drew our attention.”
Adele Genoni underlined that EFI participated with a rich product range to the FESPA 2018 Berlin. Genoni said that The EFI Reggiani Ecosystem covers all the steps that are needed to be taken from the beginning to the end in the printing process, and continued saying; “We are displaying on the stand, the full line; from design to printed final product. Our new generation hybrid inkjet platform and our greener pigment process, which we show in the exhibition, offers significant contributions to both the print manufacturers and the environment in digital textile printing. Less energy and less water consumption mean less waste at the same time. With inline polymerization, no further washing and steaming are needed in these processes.”
Colors have a high potential in Turkish market
Noting that the EFI Reggiani Colors machine; which is closely introduced to the Turkish printing market at ITM 2018 in Istanbul; has an incredible power with 12 color channels, Adele Genoni said that standard colors as well as light tones, Fluor and special colors can be obtained. Drawing attention to the technical and process superiority of this machine, Genoni; “If you compare the pink printed with 8 colours, with a pink printed with 12, you can see really the uniqueness of the Color.”
We are fully fast fashion compatible
Pointing out to the fact that fashion is changing rapidly and this affects digital printing industry’s market work positively, Genoni stressed that EFI Reggiani is providing solutions from design to the final printed product. Genoni; “At the design stage, our Opitex software allows you to create 3D collection designs. So you can see the products on the screen even before they are printed; you can even make sales to your customers at this stage. Fast fashion also means faster supply. With our digital solutions, we have customers producing as high as 40,000 products a day. We are integrated from 3D to design and to cut and sew to be more flexible and faster.”
Adele Genoni reminded that EFI has offered 4 new platforms in the last 12 months; indicating that customers are always investing in new solutions. Genoni said they always wanted to offer the best technology to their customers; adding that delivering the best to the market required expertise and experience, which EFI has in abundance.
Soft signage segment is growing rapidly
EFI Product Manager Michael Wozny reiterated that FESPA 2018 has been very good for them; and they especially received visitors from Germany, England, France, Holland and Spain. Providing information on the solutions offered; Wozny stated that they have realized the world launch of the EFI VUTEk FabriVU® 340i for soft signage.
Wozny said that as an industrial product, EFI VUTEk FabriVU® 340i, is ideal for high volume businesses; “It has a printing power of up to 500 m2 per hour. Most people use the printer in 165 to 250 m2/h at extremely high quality output; we are talking about up to 2400 dpi printing quality with a 4 pico litres drop size.” Wozny explained that with this product customers get a cost advantage of up to 50%.
Indicating that Turkey is a rising soft signage market, Wozny; “There are many benefits to the soft signage, lowering shipping costs, more environmentally friendly; and ease of installation, that’s driving the worldwide growth. And we are starting to see some of that uptake in the Turkish market.”
