DuPont makes digital textile printing easier – DuPont met with the printing industry at FESPA 2018 with printing pretreat solutions, as well as Direct To Garment printing and roll-to-roll printing inks.
DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont), one of the global powers of the chemical industry, introduced the innovations in digital printing inks at the FESPA 2018. The company demonstrated the DuPont™ Artistri® Brite printing pretreat and Artistri® Xite inks to the market at the exhibition that took place in Berlin.
DuPont™ Artistri® Brite P5003 is a fabric pre-treatment product for application onto dark colored cotton t-shirts that enable efficient and consistent printing combined with bright, wash resistant color prints, while Artistri® P5010 is developed for use with white cotton and polyester shirts. P5003 and P5010 offer improved wash fastness, white ink setup productivity and tunnel dry performance. Constantly innovating in the field of Direct To Garment printing, the brand showed that they have reached more vibrant colors and superior washing fastness.
DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) also showcased Artistri® Xite S2500 and S3500 dye sublimation inks at FESPA. These inks offer better jetting, image sharpness, intensity of black inks and color. Midviscosity dye sublimation ink Xite S2500 and high viscosity dye sublimation ink designed for printing on polyester textile substrates Xite S3500 gathered a lot of interest from printing professional.
In the Xite Roll To Roll space, with S2500 and S3500 launches, DuPont further expands its broad portfolio to meet customer demands for product quality and deeper colors. Artistri® Xite inks achieve greater color with improved workflow efficiency and reduced environmental footprint over alternative printing technologies.
DuPont makes digital textile printing easier; two main titles: new inks and pretreats
DuPont EMEA Senior Specialist Luca Cerofolini, DuPont Global Ink Business Manager Bernd Daiber and DuPont TMEA Business Manager Asuman Yazıcı have responded to our questions at the exhibition. Saying that the newly developed Artistri ink covered the low, medium and high viscosity range, Cerofolini also pointed out to Brite printing pretreat for Direct To Garment printing. Cerofolini noted that the curing lasted shorter this way and color fastness and brilliance were increased as well. Cerofolini; “We have all kinds of inks for digital printing. We already have acid, reactive, disperse and pigment inks. And now we have introduced the sublimation ink. So now we have full series of ink for any kind of application for textile market both DTG or roll to roll.”
Cerofolini stated that they have an important knowledge about pigment printing and expressed the advantages of Artistri ink compared to their competitors; “We have the best jet ability and batch to batch consistency. Thus, customers are ensured of high productivity by avoiding individual attention to single batches. With its rich color gamut, our inks are compatible with all print heads. This is also a great advantage.”
Trust based relation with customers brings success
Saying that they are receiving praise feedback on quality from the customers; Bernd Daiber stressed that the trust-based relation with the customers is the key to success. Daiber reminded that their competitors compete with lower price concept; “Consistency in quality is very important. This is a good thing if you can get your qualities fixed at the point you want. I think this is an area where you can spend a lot of money. Because the quality inconsistencies in the final product lead to the loss in customers after all”. Indicating that DuPont has always been on the verge of a new technology; Daiber expressed that they present the advantages of the new technologies to the market in the fastest way possible.
Asuman Yazıcı expressed that the Turkish textile industry is one of the biggest exporters; and said that the industry continues to invest. Yazıcı; “Turkish textile manufacturers continue to improve their quality with investments. They know that due to European-oriented exports, they need to compete not just with price, but with quality. They are making the necessary investments to provide customers with a reliable supply. Visits realized at FESPA 2018 exhibition once again proved this. As DuPont, we will continue our efforts to offer them the best,” she said.
