Ruckh said that since the last ITMA in Barcelona in 2019, the textile industry has weathered a tumultuous period with the emergence of a pandemic and economic strains and stated: “We are very happy to be back in a real exhibition, because I think there is nothing comparable then if you can meet the customer’s face-to-face meet them and looking them in the eye and talk to each other.” Ruckh disclosed that despite the visa issues they attracted visitors from across the globe including South America, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Iran, but especially from Europe, like Türkiye, Germany and of course Italy. Ruckh added that while market demands vary among regions, the common thread is a palpable enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices.
With a focus on sustainability, Brückner’s booth at ITMA 2023 exuded a theme centred around environmental stewardship. Ruckh emphasised that sustainability poses one of the most pressing challenges in the finishing segment of the textile industry, disclosing: “Rising to the occasion, Brückner proudly presents a myriad of innovative solutions designed to reduce the ecological footprint of their machines. Notably, our stenter frames now boast a host of sustainability-oriented features, including a dryer installation with new lint screens, a lubrication-free transport chain, and versatile heating systems. These cutting-edge innovations empower customers to choose between various eco-friendly heating options like gas, oil or electricity and in near future also heat pumps or hydrogen, paving the way for a more sustainable finishing process. POWER-DRY: a step towards CO2-free finishing
A highlight of Brückner’s booth at ITMA 2023 was the much-anticipated POWER-DRY relaxation dryer. Verena Ruckh pointed out that this state-of-the-art machine revolutionizes the finishing process for tubular and open-width knitted fabrics and noted that with a laser focus on energy efficiency, the POWER-DRY reduces energy consumption, optimizing productivity while minimizing space requirements. Ruckh disclosed: “Noteworthy features like space-saving sliding doors and horizontal lint screens and the easy change from tubular to open-width fabric augment the overall sustainability quotient of this cutting-edge innovation. By embracing greener energies and incorporating innovative heating systems, Brückner demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the environment and heralds a new era of CO2-free finishing processes.”
The ExperTex system: an ideal solution for everybody in the textile industry
While the industry is abuzz with the allure of digitalisation, Verena Ruckh acknowledged the varying sentiments among customers. Ruckh, saying that some express a penchant for traditional manual operations despite the allure of cutting-edge digital systems, stated that nevertheless, Brückner is steadfast in its commitment to digitalization, offering tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of its clientele. Ruckh continued: “In a pioneering move, we introduced the ExperTex system, a trailblazing data collection platform that amalgamates customer processing data. These insights are then shared within the community using artificial intelligence, allowing customers to tap into the collective wisdom of their peers. The ExperTex system empowers everybody who is active in the textile industry with invaluable knowledge, promoting efficiency, and excellence.”
Ruckh also mentioned that the industry reverberates with talk of artificial intelligence (AI), and Brückner is no exception to the allure of this transformative technology. Sharing her reviews on the Turkish market, Verena Ruckh said that as the Turkish textile industry experiences some economic challenges, Brückner remains steadfast in its support of the region. Ruckh pointed out that Türkiye, known for its prowess in carpet finishing and coating, but also in the classic textile and apparel industry, continues to inspire with its unwavering investments and commitment to growth and disclosed: “Despite the turbulent economic climate, Brückner is buoyant about the region’s prospects. We foresee a promising trajectory for Türkiye’s textile market in the coming years, driven by a sincere pursuit of sustainable and technologically advanced solutions.”
