Operating in the textile, textile dyeing, food, recycling, and tourism sectors; BLC group started with a 50% growth target in 2021. The company aims to achieve significant growth rates by increasing its investments and production capacity as countries carrying out their activities with China turn to the Turkish market after the pandemic. BLC Group, one of Turkey’s leading textile manufacturers, stands out among its competitors by valuing digital transformation and environmental production.

Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and Chairman of BLC Group Şahin Balcıoğlu said in the statement that they have actualised 3 million euro technology investments in textiles. Relaying that monthly production capacity in Çabasan Tekstil will reach 1,200 tons with an increase in capacity and investment in automation, Balcıoğlu told; “Large groups that have stopped buying from China and India have started to turn to us. As the demand is headed to Turkey and Kahramanmaraş, the heart of textiles, both Kahramanmaraş exporters and BLC Group will achieve significant growth rates”.

“Export demand per order increased to 10 trucks”

Şahin Balcıoğlu stated that Europeans looking for reliable sources are turning to the Turkish market in textiles and iron-steel; and that this situation will contribute to the exports of Kahramanmaraş region by 40-50%. Balcıoğlu said; “Countries that carry out all their activities through China, including major brands, have turned to us because of the virus. Global brands previously working with 2-3 companies or only İstanbul based, are also asking for support from us today. Now, export demand per order increased from 2-3 trucks to 10 trucks. This makes us proud and is a great opportunity to demonstrate our competencies”.

Noting that 80% of their products go to export directly or indirectly, Balcıoğlu said; “Kahramanmaraş produces 36% of the total textile market in Turkey and 3% of the world ”.
