Berteks Concluded ‘On-Site R&D Center’ Work Successfully

Getting the 19th on-site R&D Center certificate in textile sector, Berteks aims to strengthen Turkish textile sector with high added value products.

Making very successful projects in many sectors; textile coming in the first place since 1922; Berteks Companies Group overcame a very important process in textile segment. The company gained the right to be the 19th establishment making activities on textile bu completing ‘On-Site R&D Center’ Application and Evaluation process of Science, Industry and Technology General Management.

Berteks Board Chairman Berk Noyan stressed the importance of On-Site R&D Center. Noyan said; “We gave great importance to R&D in terms of providing the newest featured, most affordable, the latest trend, the latest colour products in the fastest time with high added value and making its return as sales by understanding the competitors and new, functional products having competition superiority and manufacturing new technologies thinking environmental and human-oriented. ”

Berteks focuses on technical textiles

Saying that Berteks went through a successful period, Bekir Noyan stated that textile is a never-ending sector. Noyan suggested that developed economies oriented from low-added value products to information, R&D and innovation-based high attractive textiles. Stating that textile is changing its shell, Noyan explained that the customer portfolio should be planned very well focusing on R&D and innovation in order to keep up with this. Noyan said that they aim to increase the share of technical textiles in their product portfolio; increased from 40% to 80% in the next 5 years.

Saying that they have been working closely with colleges and research centers as Berteks; Noyan stated there are more than 30 R&D centers in Bursa and defended this number should increase.
