Texhibition will grow much faster with the โprestigious exhibitionโ support
ฤฐTHฤฐB Board Chairman Ahmet รksรผz, stating that Texhibition continues to be on the rise and that there is intense interest in an environment where participation in textile exhibitions all over the world has decreased, noted that they have become one of the best exhibitions in Europe. รksรผz disclosed that they organize the event without any profit motive and that their aim is to provide support to the textile industry, which is going through difficult times due to the decrease in global demand and the increase in production costs; โThe foreign buyer rate at the exhibition has approached 40 percent. While trying to be a new breath for the export of the textile industry, we also make a serious contribution to the Istanbul and Tรผrkiye brand with the guests we host,โ he said.
รksรผz noted that they were very happy with the participation from more than 100 countries and the intense interest, saying that they would achieve much faster growth if the Ministry of Trade gave โprestigious exhibition support to Texhibition, which has become the favourite of the textile industry. He expressed that they wholeheartedly believe that with this support, which they are waiting for with great hope, they will increase their current momentum even more and write their name among the most important exhibitions in the world.
โNew roadmaps should also be created for branded exportsโ
Ahmet รksรผz relayed that there was a global contraction in demand in textiles and that they wanted to solve this by turning to alternative markets, and he said that they were going through a period in which branded exports were gaining more importance. He underlined that Turkish textiles had a high value-added production structure and infrastructure, meanwhile stating that much more work should be done on branding and new roadmaps should be created for branded exports.
