Heimtextil, one of the world’s leading trade fairs in home and contract textiles and textile design, will offer its visitors a more comprehensive and richer experience with its expanded carpet halls in its 2025 edition. The fair will be held in Frankfurt on January 14-17, and will host 2,900 participants from 60 countries in a total of 16 halls. A press conference was held in Istanbul to promote the fair, which attracted great interest from the Turkish textile industry both as participants and visitors. Company executives including Heimtextil Directors Margit Herbeth and Bettina Bär, Marketing Communications Manager Anıl Öt and Messe Frankfurt Istanbul Sales and Marketing Director M. Can Yümer attended the meeting. Herbeth and Bär provided information, particularly about the new period market potential and new trends in their presentations.

Heimtextil 2025, which will be organized with the motto ‘Connected by Textiles’, will be the first and most important platform of the year where manufacturers and buyers from several different segments will come together. Stating that the fair is the leading and most inspiring home, contract and textile design fair in its field, Bettina Bär disclosed that unique experiences will be encountered in 16 different halls. Expressing that many events await visitors, Bär said: “Milan-based design platform Alcova has undertaken the curation of Heimtextil Trends 25/26 for the first time to push the boundaries of creativity. The Trend Area in Hall 3.0 brings a different perspective to textiles with the motto ‘Future Continuous’ and combines past trends with future-oriented effects. In addition, world-renowned designer and architect Patricia Urquiola will bring textile design to life with a special installation called ‘among-us’. Deco Team and the adjacent Design Lounge will present the most attractive offers and leading brands of interior design. In addition, while the carpet and rug section expands with new halls, Heimtextil continues to be a reliable partner of the global textile industry with its strong product range and innovative formats.”

Margit Herbeth also stated in her presentation that Heimtextil will highlight the transformative power of textiles and that new solutions and approaches that strengthen durability in homes and workplaces will draw attention. Herbeth said: “Our biggest investment in our health is our home. In this context, Heimtextil enables buyers to meet the needs of their customers with its wide product portfolio.” Emphasizing that product quality, durability and sustainability are fundamental factors for consumers, Herbeth stated that the products exhibited at the fair meet these criteria and lead to new collaborations. Reminding the participants with Econogy Finder certification at Heimtextil, Herberth noted that with this label, visitors will be able to reach the best solutions for sustainability demands in home and contract textiles. Herbeth divulged that the Econogy title covers all sustainability activities of more than 50 textile fairs in Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network worldwide, and that Heimtextil participants listed on Econogy Finder will be characterized with a special icon for visitors to easily reach. Drawing attention to the importance of sleep for human health, Herberth said: “A wide range of products, including smart mattresses for a healthy, optimal and comfortable sleep, will be on display in Hall 11.0 at Heimtextil.”

Machine-woven carpets, fibers and yarns and technological solutions for the carpet industry will be in Hall 5.1. The ‘Yarn and Fiber’ Area has expanded at the fair

Heimtextil, an important platform for home and contract textiles, also offers an expanded product range for yarns, fibers, woven and knitted fabrics, finishing processes and equipment. Suppliers and manufacturers are positioned in different product segments according to their respective areas of use. This comprehensive ‘Yarn & Fiber’ Area creates valuable synergies between product groups at the fair, while creating significant added value for many different target groups such as weavers, manufacturers and product designers. Korteks and Sasa from Türkiye are among the companies that will take part in this area.

The world’s largest range of upholstery fabrics will meet visitors at the fair in Hall 4. The wide range of products from manufacturers and wholesalers ranges from decorative, upholstery and contract fabrics to faux leather and furniture leather products and outdoor fabrics. Vanelli from Türkiye will also be present in this category with its products.

In Hall 4.0, the future-oriented Interior.Architecture.Hospitality library, curated by expert juries, will feature exciting functional textiles. In Halls 6.0, 6.2, 8.0 and 9.1, there is the Global Home Excellence area, where high-quality suppliers for all sizes of order volumes are positioned. Here, buyers will be able to view individual presentations with a variety of home textile products from international manufacturers.
