Türkiye-based inkjet printing inks, papers and technologies manufacturer Lustre hosted its domestic and foreign visitors at FESPA Eurasia 2022 on December 1-4. In the interview with Textilegence, Lustre Marketing Manager Mustafa Altındağ stated that they participate in FESPA Eurasia every year and it was very productive this year, disclosing that they had the opportunity to meet with their existing customers both from abroad and at home during the exhibition. Noting that they observed a slight decrease in visitor density compared to previous years, Altındağ said: “However, the exhibition was very beneficial for us in terms of coming together with our customers and introducing our products. We have been participating in FESPA exhibitions both in Europe and Türkiye for about 7 years. FESPA exhibitions are of great importance for us since we operate in the textile sector.”

Lustre Marketing Manager Mustafa Altındağ

“Lustre is growing rapidly in the global market”

Mustafa Altındağ stated that Lustre is the company with the largest market share in the field of sublimation inks in Türkiye and added that they are progressing rapidly in the global market. Disclosing: “We have started to sell to numerous countries in Europe and we have dealerships in all countries located in that region. We aim to increase our sales in our new markets and want to establish dealerships in the countries we have not yet entered in the coming period,” Altındağ added that they are continuing their efforts to establish distributorships in Italy and the UK in Europe, as well as in the USA, Latin America and Asian countries.

“We are eliminating Türkiye’s dependence on imports in sublimation ink”

Saying that they produce inks compatible with the print heads of the world’s leading brands, Mustafa Altındağ pointed out that Lustre inks differ from the products of other companies in the market in terms of colour vividness and intensity. Altındağ stated that they also have the OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certificate, which is one of the most important documents in the sector within the scope of sustainability, and added that this both provides confidence to their customers and offers them a competitive advantage, especially in markets such as Europe. Reminding that sublimation inks were imported products until a short time ago, Altındağ said: “By ensuring that these products are produced in Türkiye, we have both eliminated imports and made significant contributions to the national economy through exports. We are working on new products for this purpose.”

Lustre to introduce its new textile pigment inks for the first time at ITMA 2023

Mustafa Altındağ stated that they continue their studies at the R&D centre they established in Izmir in 2015, and said that they also receive consultancy from international companies in this context. Expressing that they aim to reach the highest quality by conducting tests together with their customers, Altındağ disclosed: “We do not release a product to the market until we have achieved the desired quality. That is why we have been working on pigment inks for a long time and have achieved very good results. We are going to be launching our new products to the market in 2023.”

Altındağ stated that their participation in exhibitions will continue in 2023 and that their first stop will be FESPA GPE 2023 to be held in May. Altındağ concluded: “We will be at the ITMA in Milan where we will present our new textile pigment inks for the first time in June.”
