Brückner presents Industry 4.0 solutions in textile finishing. The Brückner booth in Hall 2 was a stopover for those interested in textile finishing at the ITMA 2019 Barcelona. Brückner, a specialist in finishing, dyeing, drying and coating technologies, exhibited digital and automation solutions for greater efficiency and resource protection during the exhibition. ITMA visitors had the chance to observe the Industry 4.0 developments and the innovations the German machine manufacturer brought to textile production.
In an exclusive interview with Textilegence, Brückner CEO Regina Brückner said that they focus primarily on producing machines with higher productivity using less energy than their competitors in the textile machinery field. Brückner; “In addition, the digital systems we develop help to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of our customers. Using the latest digital systems we offer, they can have a management panel with all machine and process information from home or from their office. They can remotely control machine settings and operation levels”.
Reminding that they have a maintenance interface in the new system, Brückner said that they can see the cause of the pauses and how they can be corrected. Brückner said; “With our simulation tool, existing recipes can be optimized. This ensures that the best possible setting is achieved when the machines are not used at full capacity. Thus, the use of energy, chemicals and water can be minimized and productivity can be increased”.
Brückner also presented ITMA visitors a simulation tool that helps to optimize chemical recipes and a maintenance application for services. The company will provide training and technical support services to their customers through digital technologies, including augmented reality, through a virtual platform to be launched soon.
Brückner presents Industry 4.0 solutions in textile finishing: Denim finishing deserves special attention
Brückner’s booth included innovations for automation and digitalization as well as improvements in their field of expertise covering a wide range of products. The focus of these innovations was denim dyeing and finishing.
Stressing that the denim is perhaps not known as it should be, Regina Brückner said that they have a very long list of references. Brückner said that in the traditional sense, a lot of energy is used in denim finishing and they are providing information to industry newcomers about how an efficient production process should be. Brückner; “We don’t have a single machine for denim, we have a complete finishing lines with many components. We have made significant investments in the field of denim. Our integrated finishing systems for pigment dyeing, synthetic resin finishing and coating have been further developed. At ITMA, our visitors examined POWER-SHRINK sanforizing range closely; and got information from our experts about its working principle and advantages”.
Regina Brückner said that they have developed new concepts for continuous dyeing and that the POWER-INFRATHERM IR dryer has heating and cooling times of less than 5 seconds. Brückner explained that their POWER-COLORTHERM Hotflue allows the fabrics to dry evenly throughout the passages without migration.
Preferring to show stenter solutions with minimized models at the exhibition; Brückner emphasized that with the new BRÜCKNER POWER-FRAME VNE multi-layer stenter technical textiles as well as woven and knitted fabrics can be processed with high quality. Only one machine operator is required, as the entry and the exit are on the same machine side. This type of machine is especially used for the finishing of wool and their blends.
ITMA attracted visitors from Asian markets
Evaluating ITMA 2019 Barcelona, Regina Brückner shared the information that visitors from Asian markets showed great interest to their booth. Brückner continued as follows;
“We have met customers especially from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, USA, Turkey, Egypt, Mexico, Brazil and from Iran. Both the number of visitors and the fruitful discussions showed that ITMA is the most successful international exhibition to be a part of”.
Exchange rate fluctuations affected the Turkish market
Pointing out to Turkey being a major market for a long time; Regina Brückner noted that the currency fluctuations that occurred in Turkey affected them; and complicated the purchase of European originated machines for Turkish customers. Brückner; “However, they still prefer European machinery manufacturers. I believe that the market will be better in the near future”.
Brückner said that they are supporting Turkish customers’ financing process in order to facilitate the purchase of machinery; and that they extend the payment schedule from case to case. “Our focus is to provide our customers with the best technology in the world,” Brückner said; adding that they are happy to offer German engineering product solutions worldwide.
