Turkish textile manufacturers show up in US with 2019-20 fall/winter collection. Première Vision New York, one of the important meeting platforms of global textile and fashion manufacturers, was held between July 16-17. Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB) organized a national participation organization for the 11th time and 26 Turkish companies participated for the 2019-2020 Fall / Winter season with their new collections. Many products were exhibited from fabric to accessories, leather to garment and design. The exhibition attracted professionals from the textile and fashion industry, as well as designers, retailers and buyers.

UTİB Chairman Pınar Taşdelen Engin highlighted that the Turkish textile industry was a scene of unity in the fair as every year. Emphasizing that textile and apparel industry is Turkey’s strongest sectors, Engin marked, “Turkish textiles and ready-to-wear garments have reached a position that does not only compete with their competitors in the developing countries, but also with developed countries with high investment budgets for R&D, innovation, design and production with high technology. Our sector is successfully exporting to markets such as Europe and America where competition is intense.”

Textile exports to Italy ranked as the top, followed by Germany and the United States. Premiere Vision Fair has great importance for our sector, which continues its search for new markets as well as maintaining the distinction of being an important market in US textile exports,” noted Engin.

Turkey maintains its success and ambitious position among the biggest textile manufacturers in Europe. The country has the necessary knowledge and experience in technical textiles used in many fields. Pınar Taşdelen Engin commented, “We will further increase our share textile sector by boosting our efforts. We will continue to make important strides in the field of design, fashion and technical textiles.”

Engin underlined that textile and apparel industry is Turkey’s most powerful sector. “The Turkish textile sector has been closely by globaal players amid its trends; as we also realize during Turkish textile fairs. Our exhibitions attract professionals across the globe. In this way, important trade volumes are formed in textile fairs organized in our country,” Engin ended.
