Turkey’s sole EPSON textile printer distributor, Tecpro Information Technologies presented textile and ready to wear industry oriented solutions and sublimation textile printing solutions in Sign Istanbul.

One of Turkey’s most important digital printing technologies supplier, Tecpro Information Technologies took its place in Sign Istanbul exhibition between 4 – 8 October. The company showcased EPSON’s professional indoor photography printers as well as sublimation textile printers and solutions such as F6200, F7100, SC-F9200 and SC-F2000 with different print applications. Sublimation print has been shown as the best solution on several materials such as wood, paper, metal, aluminium, plate and porcelain for commercial applications as well as artistic and experimental applications. Company’s own brand Papertec sublimation papers, fluorescent / neon inks and EPSON’s new laser video projectors have also been showcased in Tecpro’s booth.

Informing about their exhibition presence Tecpro Information Technologies General Manager İbrahim İlhan underlined the importance of these kinds of niche exhibitions for the development of printing industry. İlhan; “Throughout the exhibition, we have emphasized the possibility of diverging into other potential business areas with EPSON printing machines. We also presented our video projectors which are essential for outdoor advertising for the first time.”

Tecpro : True production costs are revealed

Indicating EPSON being an assertive brand in its own area with each of their products, İbrahim İlhan argued; they were making a difference with Piezo printing head and textile dyes which has 100% compliance to human health certification. “Epson doesn’t compromise on quality in order to reduce costs” said İlhan recording no big price difference with their substitutes on the market. Telling they supply profiles with serious dye consummation reductions for their customers; İlhan recorded an approximately 40% of dye saving this way. İlhan continued saying; “Other dyes are sold by litres in the market while we sell them by the kilo, our customers obtain a 10% revenue by this. Waste dye rate is ¼ for EPSON compared to other dyes. In short nearly a half and half revenue is obtained. Cost of production is the real cost and we are very advantageous on that matter.”

Offering consultancy in machine purchases to their customers, İlhan says they also help their customers in budgeting by matching the right machine to right machine; “despite being import products we deal in Turkish Liras when we set the payment terms for our products. Customers do not have the risk of exchange rates. We have 7/24 service guarantee. Our average service time is 2 days. We provide a temporary machine to the customers for services over 3 days. And we have an abundance of spare parts.”

The new regulation in customs legislation had a negative effect on the market

First half of 2017 has met the expectations of İbrahim İlhan, he told it took a downturn with the new customs legislation effective since July. İlhan said about the matter; “There is a backlog on every product in the customs because of the new legislation; which has been put in effect to prevent low qualities and any kind of fraud in imports. Every product that arrives in customs is being put to test in TSI (Turkish Standards Institution) labs. But TSI does not have the necessary employees or the infrastructure to support this. There is a backlog of 500 – 600 files for a lab only capable of closing 50 – 60 files per month.

Despite having international standards certificates and reports our imported products are kept in there for testing. This delays our delivery times. Balance of payments has been distraught because of delayed products. We demand a control revision. Both the government and the companies are suffering because of this. We have high expectations of 2018 if this issue is solved.”

İbrahim İlhan added that they will attend FESPA Eurasia; which they have attended since the first day that it has begun with a process focused concept.
