Possessing a rooted history, HASSAN GROUP continues to grow and to lead the industrialization of the nonwoven industry with new machinery investments. At the Techtextil 2017 fair held in Frankfurt, HASSAN GROUP companies MERKAS and HASSAN TEKSTİL concluded two new line agreements. The DiloGroup’s line consists of opening and blending equipment, a MultiFeed card feeder, MultiCard and lap drafter, DLS crosslapper and highspeed Hyperpunch needle looms in large working width. Delivery is scheduled for March 2018.
The group which collects under the roof following companies; HASSAN, TELASİS, PELSAN, TEKSİS, MERKAS, HASPAS, ŞİTEKS and CATSİS who produces nonwoven products for many sectors such as automotive, construction, cleaning, shoes, apparel, furniture, white goods and filter as well as hygiene and medical sectors.
Merkas Textile, a group company operating in the hygiene sector, produces high-loft nonwoven textile surfaces with Air Through Bonding (ATB) method. These products offer performance enhancing solutions such as ADL (Acquisition Distrubition Layer), ATB-Top Sheet and ATB-Back Sheet components are used in diapers, hygienic pads and adult-diapers products. Merkas offers its products to domestic and international markets and increases its capacity and diversity with the support of the new investment, which will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2018.
HASSAN GROUP caters to various markets
Another member of the Hassan Group who has the same name is Hassan Tekstil San. And Tic. A.Ş. produces automotive felts, geotextiles, construction insulation and protection felts, cleaning wipes and many other sectors by producing finished and semi-finished products with the needle punch technique. Hassan Textile’s targets increasing not only production capacity but also diversity with the new ordered line. The planned delivery date is 1st half of 2018.
Nevertheless, the group attaches great importance to R&D and innovation.It has become the 449th R&D Center under the Ministry of Industry in 2017. The group targets with R&D works to be made in the center, not only will the sector gain innovative products but also extend the product range. In this context, 14 patent and utility model applications and documents have already been completed.
In the Index’17 exhibition organized in Geneva, Switzerland by the European Nonwovens and Disposables Association (EDANA), it was deemed worthy of an award with “Self Sufficient Relief Tent Fabric” project in the “Sustainable Product” category in the field of innovation. It is a social responsibility project, carried out together with the Refugee Research Unit affiliated to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), to improve the living conditions Notably Syrian refugees with all disaster-victims and refugees.
