DuPont Increases Presence in Ink Market

DuPont Advanced Printing Digital Inks Global Marketing Manager Eric Beyeler and Turkey, Midddle East, Russia Regional Asuman Yazıcı made statements to Textilegence at the fair. Saying that FESPA is one of the most important event on this area, Eric Beyeler recorded that the wish to take place with the same power as they increase their presence in ink market as Dupont.

Beyeler said these; “ It is very important to take place at the fair in terms of seeing the market orientation and movements DuPont has a very wide ink portfolio. Our reactive, pigment, dispers and sublimation ink ranges with all the chemicals used in textile industry are being presented to the market. These inks have a very wide range of viscosicty. The products we released in the short time were mainly pigment inks. Last year we presented Artistri® Xite S1500 which is our first ink with low viscosity. We will release some high viscosiy inks in 2017.”

Beyeler, underlining the fact that they have high viscosity and low viscosity inks both for roll to roll and direct garment printing (DTG), mentioned about the advantages this offers to the customers. Stressing that inks they developed are compatible with conveyor tunnel dryer, Beyeler stated that customers are usually interested in products for roll to roll printing and they wanted to extend these variations.

We expect an increase in the demand for pigment inks

Saying that the most usage in Turkey market is sublimation inks; Asuman Yazıcı expressed that this is followed by reactive, dispers, pigment and lastly acid inks. Yazıcı said thusly; “The demand for pigment inks is very high too and we expect this to increase. According to the feedback we received from the market; manufacturers in Turkey see pigment ink as an alternative for reactive inks. We understand that this is for not harming to environmental conditions.”

Saying that there is trend towards to customized production from mass production in Turkey market; Yazıcı expressed that this encourages digital printing. Yazıcı continued thusly; “While digital printing enables low volume and medium volume production it gurantees reasonable priced products. Also you can obtain patterns with digital printing that you can’t with analog printing. That’s why the advantages of digital printing are much more for our view. For instance, beacuse of the rapidly changing fashion trends, producers lean to digital printing. ”

Stating that Turkey has up and down stages just like any other countries,  Asuman Yazıcı added that the idea; the market would regress with the effect of growing events, however they see progress on the contrary.
